Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Therapy

Many of my clients come to therapy carrying the weight of past experiences that were overwhelming, painful, or simply too much at the time. When these experiences—often called trauma—are gently and safely explored, my clients often find relief and a renewed sense of ease in their day-to-day lives.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy approach that helps the brain heal from difficult memories. During EMDR, you’ll focus on parts of a memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation, most often through eye movements. This process helps experiences that feel “stuck” become less emotionally intense over time.

I use EMDR in a collaborative and compassionate way. Together, we will identify memories and/or current challenges to work on, build coping skills, and move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
